Need clarification on hindu marriage law

Page no : 2

Yes. Thats correct. Thank you for the advise. We are trying to get this solved without legal problems. In case of second wife getting seperated, should it be divorce since it is registered or would it be annulment?

Thanks & Regards,

AK

The mere fact that marriage has been registered would not convert an invalid marriage into valid one. In the case of an invalid marriage which has been registered a suit for declaration of marriage as invalid is maintainable

The second marriage is VOID ab-initio, If she gets a decree of annulment and doesnot press charges for bigamy, you should be fine.

Dear Sir,

Both the ladies say they want to live with him. And the guy, to be good to his family says he wishes to live with second wife only. Obviously his parents want him to be with the girl they chose. In this scenario, cant the first wife do anything? can't she demand divorce of him with his second wife? Kindly clarify.

Thank you in advance.
