Need some clarification on MVAT. I have booked a flat in October 2012, the construction of which is 90% complete (as per developer's demand letter). The OC is to be received in November 12. Kindly let me know if the MVAT (1%) is applicable if the agreement is registered after OC is received. If MVAT is applicable then is it on the entire agreement amount or the amount paid till the OC is received as the remaining amount will be paid to the developer after OC is received.
