I belong to a village in Andhra Pradesh.
My great grand father (who expired 40 years back), had some land. He had 6 sons and he distibuted that to all of them (not on documents). Now, all these 6 sons have constructed their own homes over the land and are living happliy.
Now, one day for my education loan, I searched documents of my home.Then my grand father told me that the land is still on my great grand father's name. I searched for the same, but could not find them. I asked my grand father and all his 6 brothers, but no one has any idea, where the documents have gone. I took my loan by showing some other property documents.
But I feel, proper documents should be there for my house either on my father's name or my name. (so that we wont face any legal issues few years later). Since the original documents are not there, we could not understand what to do now.
Please suggest.
