Hi,
I was given the punishment order on 05-07-2000 stating - " the reduction of your basic pay by one stage in terms of clause 21 (iv) (c) of Memorandum of Settlement dated 14/2/95"
There was no reference to the time frame for which this punishment was given.
I seek your advise what is the clause 21 iv c of the memorandum, also please suggest if this clause applies for specific time period.

You can ask for the copy of the memorandum of settlement, this may be an agreement between the bank employees & the management. you have every right to ask for the same and it is mandatory for the management to issue. You can also get a copy from your union leaders
The deduction of certain amount in your basic will be continous ie., it will be till end of your service.
