Maternity Leave 26 weeks employer should pay salary.
Is this applies to all class of organization... ?
Is there any clause of exmention for small organisation less than 10 employees ..?
Also when it comes to salary payment on maternity leave only basic salary is calculated or even variable pay like HRA other allowance is calculated
There are some changes under the law, where the paid maternity leave in India is increased from 12 weeks to 26 weeks for working women. This law is eligible for only those who work in an organization with a minimum of 10 employees. Along with this, the prenatal leave is also increased from 6 to 8 weeks.Payment during the leave period is based on the average daily wage for the period of actual absence.
