Material on record/evidences-mails/chats

Does SC/HC consider the emails/chats as evidences? Are they of any significance in matrimonial disputes and cases like 498 & 13??

Thank you sir!

Can you simplify the text in words whether courts consider emails/chats.

The subject has been accused of 498a but th emails & chats exchanges between husband & wife narrate a cordial relationship and is not in sync to the allegations made by the wife/aomplainant.

Can emails/chats be of any help to the husband during the proceedings of the case.?
