I am looking to buy a site in Bangalore. Property owner is Muslim Landlord has expired, but Katha is still not transferred to his wife name. Landlord wife and children’s wants to sell the property now. They have death certificate of owner. Tax is not paid from 5-6years, since BBMP office is not collecting tax because there is road issue for the layout. Hence they can’t change the Katha to landlord wife name. I am not bothering about road, because there are alternate ways for that..
Shall I purchase the property without Katha? Whether I will be the legally right owner, if I purchase this land?
