Land inherited by mother

My mother inherited a plot from her parents (when her parents partioned the property), can she sell this land as per her wish. Is any written  consent required from us(children).

It is felt that the Lady is Hindu and partition was thru proper Partition Deed.

Thus the status of the estate should have changed.

Therefore the Lady should be able to give away her estate to anyone by any means as she pleases.

It shall be appropriate to show all docs on record to a local lawyer dealing in such cases.

The lawyer that has seen all docs can advise you the best.

if the land is in her name then she have all rights over that , she can utilize it as per her wish ,she need not have to take any permission or sign. from anybody while selling it , or to use in any mode.

a property in the hands of a women becomes her own and exclusive property over which she has full rights to dispose it in any manner she desires so, she does not need to take  consent from anyone including her children or her husband.
