people belonging to different religions can marry under Special Marriage Act.  Go to the marriage officer appointed under Special Marriage Act, of your area and fill up the application along with the requisite documents.  After one month you both will be got married and a certificate will be issued instantly.

The fee is a fixed fee of Rs.25/-.  The tenth certificate is for the proof of date of birth.  you have to give one more document, which shows residential proof.  Such as ration card, election card or certificate from your college / employer will do.  you cannot get your marriage registered anywhere in India.  One of the spouses must be residing for the last six months in the area, where you want to get it registered.  In addition to this , you both have to file affidavits.  you visit Delhi Government website.  They gave all details and also application and affidavit proforma.

Wish you a happy married life and I wish people should go for inter religious marriages for making our country a better one.

Thanku.I am a final year student.and she too..we complited our exams and all.now we are seeking job.she really fear to register in her local register office. We were in chennai for our digree.and is the bonifite certificate from the college is  valid or the ID card that the college provides is enough as the second document rather than the TENTH certificate.
