In a matter, the plaintiff has instituted a case before the taluk legal services authority in Ambattur. The issue is non payment of telephone charges and the cause of action arose in Chennai in which their branch office is located. Whereas the headoffice is in Kandanchavadi and the case is instituted by the plaintiffs before the Ambattur legal services committee.
Since the services is availed in Tnagar in chennai wherein the branch office is located and the cause of action arose in chennai apart from the defendants residing in Chennai, the issue should be raised before the legal services authroirty in Chennai, Correct ?
PLease tell me Sec. 20 of the CPC applies for the above case which concerns about the cause of action and location of the defendant alone..
