I have been working as an Asst. Prof in a substantive post for the last six years in a government sponsored educational institution. I have been holding the post of the Teachers' Council, been the hostel super as well as been holding various administrative positions. Last November I got married, and were facing some family problems from the marriage. I was arrested on the 11th of July on 498A and was released on bail on the 1st of August. I received a suspension letter from my college while I was arrested.
I wanted to know how long will I be on suspension. Can I resign from the post while in suspension as it is becoming difficult on my part to bear the humiliation, shock and disbelief that I am being forced to bear till now.
