Is alias name can be added to present name

Ganesh 31/07/2020 14:47:53 My name is Ganesh and father name is Nachiappan, I have beed adopted to Adopted father name Muthupalaniappan and they named me Adaikappan. I need to change my name as Ganesh @ Adaikappan in gazette ..is it possible. Father name also do we need to change? Pls reply sir. Hello sir. Greetings of the day.
As per your query, NO, you cannot add your alias name to your current name. Alias name of a person, is an additional name by which the person is called other than the official name. Alias name is not legal and you cannot use it or add it in any official documents. As you must also be having all your id proofs with your current name itself, it will be difficult for you to change your name now. So you can use any other name for other purposes as long it is not used for any illegal purposes but you cannot add it to the legal documents. Therefore it is advised to not add your current name by adding your alias name.
