We have a property of 0.5 Acre in Maharashtra State. My father had purchased it but after his death it is owned by my mother on documents. We have tried to survey the land but the surveyor returend back saying that there is an illegal construction on your land and we cannot measure it.
The possible encroachment is by neighbour.
What can i do if i want this land back.

Try to obtain the address and contact numbers correctly who enchroached your land. Send a legal notice first. File a petition in land grabbing tribunal at your area.

The main problem is that we donot know the exact boundaries of the property.
We have the map & Layout and 7/12 extract of the property.
The survey was done to find who has encroached but the govt official do not want to co-operate.
I do not have any idea what to do because i have not been in judicial matters. Please give adequate details

Apply in revenue department like Tahasildar. Surveyor will help you. If not, you can take collector help
