How we can recover money lend without document

Hi experts,

we lend some money to a friend without any aggreement or written proof

however it was done through bank cheques..

Now he is refusing to pay back, its been 2 years now.

Also I read another article stating if it is beyon 3 years than legally it is not possiable

Is that true?

Also can you tell how we can recover from him legally.

court goes by documentary evidence . you have give n money by cheque . was it a loan ? is it the only transaction between you and the accused . .

for what purpose was money give n . you have to make out case . consult a local lawyer . civil suit has to be filed within period of 3 years .

Thanks a lot for your reply ajay.

That is the only transaction between us..he committed us to get a permanent government job,

I have read this kind of news in papers many times now one such victim.

I never know solution to this kind of cases,,,thats why I wrote here.
