How to protect your plot from being grabbed by third person

Dear Sir/Madam,

I purchased a plot in my home state but doing job/service in distant state.Please suggest how to keep my plot safe from being grabbed a part or wholly of the plot by third person.

Dear Querist,

File a suit for permanent/prohibitive injunction asking court to order wrongdoer to refrain from distrubing with your peaceful possession. (note : even while you are away you still retain constructive possession over your property)

How much time,generally(from statistics so far), it take, to recover your original plot , for completion of court proceeding to punish the wrong doer in land grabbing case.Whether expenses for fighting case is compensated by wrong doer?
