How to defend against a suicide abutment case.

Hi, There are three brothers X, Y, Z. and X is younger and Z is eldest one. There is a small litigation regarding property division between the brothers. To get the emotional benefit Y has written a suicide note of 3 page. and send this to everyone. On the same day X went to police station and given a application saying that our brother has written a letter aledgly pur our name but we are not responsible for the same. Then police (head constable) called all brother Y. and asked the detials. initially he tried to escape saying that it is not written by there is no signature on this. Then in discussion he providied few points which were written in the letter. At that polic caught and asked when you are not written this letter how do you know these points. Then he apologized, and agreed that he has written the letter. And there he agreed to solve the problem outside no need of further actions. After this next day All X, Y, Z and went court did partition deed and agreed on partition. all are happy and signed the papers in court with witness of advocates and others. After this 3 months later he committed suicide, again he has written some letters that dtails we are not aware what is its content and whose names he has put. Now the my bhabi parenets demanding heavy lumsum amount and blackmailing us saying that they will put a case against us (X and Z).

In the police station we are given only written application we do not have any acknowledgement or reciept. We are not sure the police station maintains all the application or it throwed into the dustbin.

Now how we can defend ourself against this?

Please provide best solution. (This all happended within 4 months period).

Thanks

There is no fixed formula; or off-the-shelf solutions to such issues.  The matter has to be handled deftly based on the fact situation and the allegations contained in the complaint.  Please engage a lawyer to handle the matter.

Helo sir, Thanks for the reply, As of now they are not complained in the court. Just they are threating us. Once complained we will engage an Advocate.
