Hello Everyone,
I need a suggestion from you over here.
Bottom line : How can i change my room number in all my documents? Is there a way to change it?
Whole Matter:
In year 1989, my father bought two small rooms (which were later combined to a single room) in a chawl at chembur. He got the photopass for both the rooms in the name of the person who previously owned the rooms.
Later in 2000, BMC issued slips/receipts to everyone stating that u Will get new photopass for each rooms. We got two slips for both the rooms, one in the name of my father and other in the name of my mother.
After that no one from my family approached BMC to get new photopass.
My parents having no knowledge about legal stuffs made a mistake of providing wrong room number i.e. R.no 17 in all the documents and government cards like Ration cards, academic records, voter ID , Adhar card, Gas book, Electricity bills. And that too for only one room where we have two rooms.
And we all believed that this is our actual room number since childhood.
Last week when i came to know that we are not having new photopasses so I thought to take initiative and get it done from BMC.
While digging up old files/documents at my house i found the two photopasses of our rooms which were in the names of the persons who previously owned the rooms.
I was shocked to see the actual room numbers on them as 3 1/3 and 3 2/3.
When I approached collector office to get the photopass they said me to get the photopass slips which was issued in year 2000 and other documents like ration card, electricity bill of year 1995,proof of Voter id being enrolled in yr 1995 and Adhar card.
As every this is goofed up with wrong room number i.e. R.no 17, how can i rectify this mistake?
If I go to reliance energy to change my room no. in electricity bill then they will ask to get other documents with correct room number.
Likewise if want to change my room number in ration card then I need to provide other documents with correct room number.
Please advise me how I can approach to sort this problem.
Thank you for reading this :)
