Hi
My father expired last year in feb and the house was in his name. Now my mother wants to sell the old house and buy it somewhere else. But she cannt do it unless she gets it transfered in her name. So i would like to know what is the procedure for the same and what would be the approximate cost for the whole procedure.

If House in Society u give a application and attached a death certificate of your father and enter your and your mother name as per legal heir. If house in personal capacity u give application at corporation / talati with attached a death certificate of your father and enter name in revenue record, then u sale this property another person.

talati means tahsildar (who has see all revenue records of village) otherwise u contect local lawyer for that.

charges are nominal, u also make a application and do this procedure.
