Gratuity in govt service

FCRI is an autonomous organisation under DHI, GOI. it is registred under societies registration act of 1860. we are not getting any non plan  GOI grant in aid for salary or other daytoday activities. we are making income through technical consultacy , training, and technical testing /calibration.

FCRI joined in LIC Linked group gratuity scheme. but now management says that GOI Death cum gratuity rules is applicable to FCRI. They are not extending gratuity for the casual /temporary service as in gratuity act or 1972. Autonomous organisation employees are not govt servents, i heard.  please guide me

Social Security to the workers in the Organized Sector is provided through five Central Acts, namely, the ESI Act, the EPF & MP Act, the Workmens’ Compensation Act, the Maternity Benefit Act, and the Payment of Gratuity Act.  In addition, there are a large number of welfare funds for certain specified segments of workers such as beedi workers, cine workers, construction workers etc.
