If the gift deed is registered and unconditional then she is entitled to sell without a NOC, if not the gift deed needs to be verified to check the legality of the sale.

in what way she got that property and from whom she got?

PLEASE SEE THE GIFT DEED NATURE AND CAUSE OF GIFT ETC., IF IT IS REGISTERED ONE ALL THE ISSUES TO SEE BEFORE TRANSFER TO ANY ONE

when ur wife has got a gift, it is her absolute property, she can dispose it as per her will and wish. if it is conditional then she cannot.

it was gifted to her from her elder brother an the deed is un conditional

In such case you can go ahead with the sale, there is no necessity of NOC.
