Gift settlement

Sir,

As a mother i gifted my house property with out any conditions to one of my daughter in the year 2014.  I am residing still in that house.  Now i am afraid of her behaviour and want to make supplemental deed in the above gift amending my daughter shall not disturb me during my life time to use the house gifted.

If it is gift deed, and it has been duly registered after paying stamp duty, then you have no right on the already gifted property.  If it has not been registered, then you simply cancel it.  Otherwise also if it is registered, then also, by engaging a good advocate you can challenge your own gift deed in civil court by alleging that you executed it under duress and with an implied condition that you would be allowed to stay therein during your lifetime.  Any step you take will, no need to say, spoil your relations with your daughter.  Think before you act.
