Gift deed cancellation

Hi Lawyers Club I would like to know the legal procedure for canceling a gift deed .I was given a land as a gift by my father in 1999.He got married to another one after my mom expired.He now rewrote the document as cancelling the gifted land.Actually that land is given to my mom by her father .But the mistake done is he directly gave to my father as dowry in those days.What i heard is their should be a legal procedure for cancelling the gift deed.Can any one tell me will my land come back to me

the property was gifted to your father by your grand father(mother's father). your father gifted property to you. as he has rights over the property, he may cancel it through registration. even though you can challenge this cancellation (of gift deed) in the court of law. there are many judgments that donee having full rights on the property which was gifted. so consult a local lawyer.
