Gift deed

Can a home loan be transferred by a gift deed? Mother wants to transfer a house to son by way of gift. The house has a loan on it. Can the bank transfer the loan to the son on the basis of the gift deed? If so, will there be tax issues?

if you are eligible loan, bank will tranfer the loan so approach bank people.
