Gift deed

We bought a plot of land in 2010 in my name with my mothers money. I got married in 2012.now things have turn bad. So i would be filing for divorce. If i transfer the plot to my mother using gift deed can it be challenged by my wife.

If the entire property is in your name you can go ahead and do the same, if it is in joint name, i doubt whether it will serve the purpose.

Yes .. d property is entirly on my name and has been bought much before marriage.Can the gift deed be challanged by my wife during the divorce.proceedings? Secondly i also have a flat on which loan is still outstanding And the EMI is being paid solely frm my income and presently it is put out on rent. It has been bought around 2 yrs before mrg. How do i save the flat?
