Family Property

Hi all,

I would like to seek the views on the following situation.

My father are 6 brothers and 3 sisters. My grandfather had done some parnership business in somewhere 1960 and took some money from the firm's account and purchased propery and others. Later in case of dispute, partnership got dissolved and it was decided that money would be paid back to other partner. in about 1962, my father (in separate business) , grand father and 3 other brothers (2 being younger hence didn't pay) paid Rs 100 per head per month to the other party for about 4 years to retain the property.

Then in 1991, that property was further developed by joint funds by all 6 brothers.

All the six families are living in the part of same property and some part is being used by my grand mother.

Now I would like to get to know:

Can it be considered an ancestral property (my views - no, as my father & 3 others paid the amount used to purchase the property)?

How will the property share be distributed?

How can I ask for the final settlement as some people are not willing to discuss the matter (as they may have other intention)?

Will my father's sister have any right on the property?

Thanks,

Learning
