For sec 498A/406/304 investigations, please advise legal position if IO asks the so called "accussed" to sign the findings or notings of the investigations? Any suggestions on how we can politely but firmly refuse?

Police can not ask accuse to sign their findings. Its for police to submit before court. Generally this findings are confidential and not reveal to accused, i wonder how would police force accuse to sign it..

HI here is section162crpc
"
(1) No statement made by any person to a police officer in the course of' an investigation under this Chapter, shall, if reduced to writing, be signed by the person making it, nor shall any such statement or any record thereof, whether in a police diary or otherwise, or any part of such statement or record, be used for any purpose, save as hereinafter provided, at any inquiry or trial in respect of any offence under investigation at the time when such statement was made:" However even if IO insists on signing despite quoting 162 crpc don't worry this signed paper will carry no value in court you can always claim you were forced to sign. regards
