My wife land

Hi My father in law(wife's father) agreed to give plot as dowry for marriage. I asked to do a sale deed registration. Only my father in law and my wife signed on that deed.Neither his wife(mother in law) nor his son or anyone signed on that. So in future can my mother-in-law or his /her son can file a case to occupy the land?

if the property is ancestral, all legal heirs shall execute the sale deed.  if is his self acquired, no one has right over the property.

See the type of Property ancestral OR self acquired.

if property is ancestral then sign all legal heirs and if self acquired property then sign only whose person who purchased this property.

Thank You

In future what would happen that both father in law & wife and you(son-in-law) will face criminal proceedings under the dowry prohibition act,if brother-in law or mother-in-law initiate any criminal complaint against both of you.

Thanking you,
