pl advise.....In case of purchase returns against inter -state purchases Form "F" is applicable or not.
R.K.RENGARAJ (GM/INDIRECT TAXES) 06 February 2012
In case of purchase returns, no F Form has to be used. Original supplier will ask for c form from the interstate buyer. If the buyer returns entire goods, there is no need to issue c form. If he returns part of the goods, he can either deduct the value of the goods returned and issue c form to the supplier.
For interstate movements the Form B cst certificate should be get endorsed the materials to be dealt. Such goods can be stock transferred to the agents/branches situated in other states.

Inter state stock transfer means movement of goods other than by way of sale, prove its movement along with F from. In the absence of evidences to prove stock transfer, it will be considered as interstate sale and liable to pay local tax appllicable on that goods in the State from where the goods are being transported. A dealer can never avoid CSTsimply saying it is a stock transfer. In order to get concessional rate of CST declaration C form is essential.

Mr. Ravi,
Your question is not clear. Please state your place and nature of business. If it is a job work transaction, it cannot be considered as a consignment or stock transfer reqiires Fform declaration. Whether there is movement of goods from one State to another. The facts of the issue may clearly be stated to get proper and correct reply. Thanks.
