We moved in to our new flat in a complex near Rajerhat (Kolkata) on 5th Feb 2014. And the registration was due on 14th Feb but did not happen due to some cause. Now the date has been postponed to 12th Mar 2014. I have come to Mumbai now. I have few doubts as follows:
Do i need to be present in person during registration as it is not possible for me to reach out there. The home loan amount is on my brother's and mine name.
The promoter has asked for the registration money in cash so that he could proceed with the document preparation. He also mentioned that the valuation might increase in case of delay in registration. Is that true, can i not select suitable time of my own?
Suddenly, the promoter has asked for the service tax as 3.5% on the purchase value, which was not in the picture prior. We booked this flat last year for your information. Is it mandatory to pay the service tax during registration? Or could be paid later on? The complex is not yet complete, still two blocks are under construction.
Kindly help me out with these doubts.
