False harassment case on parents

My sister in law and her family is preparing their grounds for false allegations on my parents. My parents live in Pune and Sister in law is living now in Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) with her parents. My question is where does it make more sense to have a lawyer on behalf of my parents (pune or tirupati)? Does anyone explain me what steps happen when she actually files a case involving my parents...for example does the case goes to women protection cell first and then police might come home or will police directly do any preliminary investigation? She is preparing her grounds as if my parents have tortured her with words....Any advise is really appreciated

@ Author,

1. Where does your sister in law ordinarily resides?

2. If she is contemplating filing a criminal complaint then she has two options; one directly before a Magistrate Court and second before Women's Cell.

3. As per recent Hon'ble SC directive all such criminal cases first needs to be properly investigated by an IO before seeking letter of approval for arrest of accused persons

4. Based on quality of her criminal complaint at the Magistrate court one can seek discharge of parents - other family members if no role found and based on vague allegations etc.

5. Start searching now for a local advocate found via reference to assist family in sister in law's jurisdiction for AB or regular Bail as the then facts may come out.

6. For more details on criminal cases of asked nature quite a lot of discussion already took place in Family Law and Criminal Law forum, suggest to read them and makes notes before asking (several times already replied) questions. Self help always helps victims in public forums.
