False case of electricity theft

We live in a village in Agra, UP. We have a power connection and meter installed. The government is the service provider. Someone made a complaint against us about electricity theft. Our uncle has his electricity cable going over our rooftop. So it looks like we are using two connections, but the one of them belongs to our uncle, who also has a connection. Someone from the department came and photographed the two cables going over our rooftop and without asking what is what, registered a complaint with the police and now they are demanding Rs 25000 as a penalty for a crime we haven't committed. What can we do?

You may submits an application to sod and senior officers of electricity department alongwith relevant document concrned with allegations and /or file application for quashing a FIR for theft before high court u/s- 482 cr.pc
