False allegation by wife

Hello,..I am posting this question on behalf of my friend. He has been married for last 10 years and he has a 7 yr old child. He had his own house and after marriage he has been doing his own business. His wife wants a lavish life style and want to spend a lot.Just due to this he tried to expand his business and bought an office and because his wife wanted a 2 BHK he even sold his 1bhk during that time and put his money for a 2bhk.He got a rented house but his business didnot do well. Inspite of working hard and taking care of the house hold expenses and his sons educational expenses his wife always mentions that all the expense is borne by her Brother. She has always tried to threathen him of taking away her son to her Brothers house. Her Mother has also come to their rented house and stays with them. They always abuse him and do not cook proper food at home. she doesnt allow his son to talk to him. They both have even given false allegation that he has an affair with his brothers wife. His Brothers wife and their family are also troubled by her behaviours as they also have fought with them for petty things and during weekend she would go to her brothers house and interfere in their privacy. 1-2 months back she left the house taking most of the house hold goods by sending just one SMS. He has called her but she does not reply. So he has stopped calling her and is waiting for her to come back on her own. Now After 2 months she has given a legal notice saying all false allegation about him having an affair, false drinking allegation, and many other false allegations and has asked for Monthly allowances. He has been asked to present in Court on a specific date. what would be the next step from his side.Kindly advice ?

On the given hearing date tell to your friend attend the court and asked the court to give him time for engageing lawyer for him to give reply for her petition, court will give him another date then give the reply of her petition, if she is not a working lady then court will grant her interim maintenance .

Send a reply legal notice. On what basis did they call u to court without any summon. Some information are missing. First preserve the sms that had received. If she voluntarily deserts your husband she is not entitled for maintenance..
