Could any Forum Member be requested to provide me the info. on the Statutory Notice period in a Show Cause Notice to the Employee of an Organisation which is covered by Factories Act? Please It is very urgent?
There is no specific time limit for submission of reply in a show cause notice. It can mentioned that 48 hrs on receipt of this notice. Also note that these type of disciplinary action covered under Industrial disputes act and not factories act.
Thank you Mr. D Kumar for the clarification given, Yes, its true that disciplinary action is covered U/ ID Act, My intention therein to mention it as Factory that the Organisation is covered under Factories Act.
