Eviction of rental property-ownership

Hello

I am an N.R.I and we have a commercial property in Punjab which, my father transferred on my name six months ago. The property is rented from a while and we need our property to be vacated for our own use. We have the old documents of rent agreements and a dispute settlement documents regarding rent increase with tax payable by the tenants on my father's name.

So, do I need to get sign a new rent agreement on my name and tenants if I file an eviction petition in future or the previous ones(My father-Tenant) would be good?

Please help.

Thanks

Sorry,  You will send a eviction Notice to the Tenants through your Lawyer.

Inder Singh,

If you intend to evict the present tenant, you may issue notice to him to vacate and handover the possession of the property to you as the old rental agreement has since expired and the same stands terminated and as you intend to use the property for your own purpose.  If he refuses, you may file a eviction petition/suit against him.
