Encumbrance on property means the registered transactions that took place in connection with the particular property or all those transactions of the property that were registered with the concerned local registrar office. The transactions may be; execution of sale, sale agreement, mortgage, settlement, gifts, partition, transfers, court orders etc. You visit the local registrar office within whose jurisdiction the property situates, place your request by filling up the necessary form/formalities in this regard for issuance of encumbrance certificate.
