does it covers the cause of action arroused before 2005 that before the commencement of this act?

no retrospective effect.
But i want to say this act contains prohibitory measures and for welfare of a woman as defined in object and reasons and preamble. It is not a penal law just a procedural cum remedial law so a court can pass any kind of order mention in this act.
