You should read CPC to understand "issues". After going through the pleadings submitted by the parties, the court will formulate the important questions to be decided by it for adjudication of the cases. The parties will assist the court in forumulating such questions. You go through daily order sheets of the trial courts and you will come to know how "issues" are formulated by the court.
