Directors Liability

Dear Advocate Friends,

I have one query ?

In private limited co. what will be the liability of the individual director if the company is not able to pays the dues of the private person and if the execution proceeding is pending in civil court against the company ? and can the Decree holder can attach the properyt of the director of the defaulter company ? kindly answer with citation /case law and provisions ?

Directors may be criminally lible but they are not liable in civil law. Only prperty of company may be attached.
