Difference between decree and order

Respected Gurus,

Recently My relative's wife obtained exparte decree in section 9 i.e restitution of conjugal rights in one of the courts in orissa district . when we approach one of the high court advocates in Bhubaneswar he advised us the heading of the order should ne Decree not order , its invalid ,   even though its exparte it should be decree since its civil suit.

He also said The lower court judge committed mistake stating " order " but it should be "Decree".

Please advice us whether its correct or not ?

Thanks ,

Rishi .

Order and decree are two different things. It will not be worth to explain you technicalities of both. You can approach the concern court for correction.

For any help feel free to cal at 9456777600.
