Delhi HC adjourns hearing on TV show Sach Ka Samna

The Delhi High Court on Friday adjourned the hearing on the controversial TV serial 'Sach Ka Samna', a game show where contestants are asked a series of prying questions.

A single-member Bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna referred the matter to a Division Bench headed by Chief Justice A P Shah.

The matter will come up for hearing on July 29. During the proceedings Justice Khanna observed that the two petitions seeking a stay on the telecast of 'Sach Ka Samna' are of public interest and that should be heard by the Chief Justice.

The show is based on America's 'Moment of Truth' in which contestants are asked 21 questions, mostly embarrassing as they are personal in nature. Those who pass the polygraph test become eligible to win up to Rs one crore in prize money.
