Defamation case

Hi,

I have asked few details under RTI(Attendance details of him, Complaint status against him, Course details) for our tenant who is not an Indian citizen from his university who filed the civil case against us. Is there any possibility that he can file a defamation case against me? Kindly clarify.

No. Defamation requires spreading false information about him. Seeking information is not defamation.
