Nothing until the case is inot investigated. If your friend apprihends arrest ,he can get an anticipatory bail. You need to cooperate with investigating agency and keep your stand, make clear your stand to police staion concerned and file a counter FIR against  them for  falsely trying to indicit you and provide whatever proof you have to show your innocence.
