Relationship between HUF and it's Karta

The Karta is the manager of HUF and has wide powers by way of controlling the affairs of the HUF. The Karta enjoys his position in the HUF by operation of law without any agreement and consent of other members of HUF. He stands in a fiduciary relationship with other members, but he is not accountable to anyone.

A Hindu Undivided Family is an extended family arrangement prevalent among Hindus of the Indian subcontinent. It came into existence as per Hindu Inheritance Laws of India.

Karta as manager managed all the affairs of the HUF, power comes with more responsibility, as other members have limited liability karta has the unlimited liabilty, Karta camn sell of or mortgaged the property whrn any legal necessity arise , religious obligations.

Karta can pay his debts too unless any member object  while asking for partition and if he already sold out the property then by filing a suit in a court.
