Civil marriage for 2 hindus

Is it possible for 2 Hindus to be married under Special Marriage Act? Can the marriage registrar solemnize the marriage for 2 Hindus under this Act? We want to do the Civil marriage for Visa purposes before the actual wedding. Your response on this will be of great help.

Yes. Totally possible. for model application and the documents required to be filed along with application, refer to Delhi govt. web site.

@Chandu Thanks for your response. Your information was very helpful. I would like to know if the notice period of 30 days, is it mandatory. Can this be removed if our parents give their consent for the marriage or something like that?
