cheque bounce

A person gave me a cheque and I have deposited in bank for credit and as low balance cheque got bounced. The person also escaped with family. What action could be taken against this person and how would I recover my money.

what for he gave you the cheque.cheque bounce case under sec 138 nia can be filed only if the cheque is issued over some liability.if yes you can file cheque bounce case along sec 420 ipc for cheating or alternatively you can file a summary suit for recovery
