case dismissed

hi all,
can you please advice, can any husband filled divorce petition from his hometown, where wife and husband not lived together. they lived together in different city and marriage function also completed in different city. is there any ground for case will dispose.

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether a husband can file for divorce from his hometown if the couple never lived there. The advice clarifies that a divorce petition must be filed within specific jurisdictional limits, such as where the marriage took place, where the respondent lives, or where the couple last resided together. Filing outside these grounds can lead to the case being dismissed if defended correctly.

Dear madam,

Divorce petition cannot be filed in your case without any jurisdiction. If it is filed you can defend it on the basis of your above grounds so that it will be dismissed.

The husband can file the petition in any three of the following District Court within the local limits where

  • The Marriage was solemnized, or
  • The Respondent resides, or
  • The parties last resided together.

Asking for facts for each and every query has become a fashion.
