Capital Gains on Promoters Share of Joint Venture

Capital Gains on Promoter's Share of Area Sharing Joint Venture If there is a Joint Venture of developing a land on area-sharing basis will the sale proceeds of the promoter's share be liable for capital gains in the hands of the land owner. If so, then promoter's share of the sale proceeds is wholly going to him so why the landowner should be burdened with that amount which he is not getting?
