Can I apply for passport Ifi Iam in 498a case

There is no such condition in my BAIL to not travel abroad. In such scenario also can't I get NOC from court to get passport validity of more than 2 yr? I need the passport with validity of more than 2 yr. Could you please suggest any way to try out.

As I have already mentioned, when a criminal case is pending against the person in any Court, the person is issued a passport subjected to certain conditions. Under normal circumstances, a short validity passport valid for a year is issued.

You may state in the application to the Court that there is no condition in your bail which prohibits you from travelling abroad.
