Builder demanding rs 3000 as maintenence

R.c. Construction Company Kurla west had taken our chawl for redevelopment in 2008. The builder delayed the construction and now the flat is ready for occupancy. in the agreement which is registered the builder has mentioned Rupees 19,750 towards gas pipeline and other charges and rupees 1200 towards monthly maintainence . Now the builder is demanding rupees 30,000/- towards gas pipeline and other charges and rupees 3000/- as mantainence per month. The builder is demanding 13 post dated cheques one cheque of rupees 30,000/- and twelve cheques of rupees 3000/- each the builder says he will give the possession of the flat after receving the cheques.

We cannot make out anything out of ur narration.Actually what is ur aggrement with builder. If the demand of the builder is in accordance with the aggrement u r bound to pay.other wise u need not.

You have to refer the agreement terms and conditions to a local advocate, seek his opinion on the issue and proceed. If the builder seems to charge exorbitantly, you can very well issue a notice for contravening the agreement conditions.
