Buider is refused to refund 20% booked amount

I had booked an under construction small duplex.I paid 20% booking amount and made the agreement for 24 months. Due to my job loss and finanalcial reason i could not pay any installment. After 24 months builder cancelled my property but they are not responding to refund 20% paid amount too.

The property is in atebele, Bangalore. As per law should i get back 20% or not ?

What to do next as a cunsumer ?  Should i complain to police or any where else ?

Legal notice will work in this case to get back 20% paid amount..

Any lawyer from Bangalore is available here ?

without looking into the agreement its not possible to give you any advice as it depends on the terms mentioned in it

There must be some common rules of agreement in realestate. Agreement cannot be purely as per builder own made rules. The property was cancelled by builder. I never agreed. Some other alternative proposal of repayoemtn could have been accecpted.

Are you a lawyer from Bangalore ? I can send agreement to you .
